This morning I was thinking about how I used to oscillate between being alone and wanted to be around others.
In recent years that feeling has changed. I can feel comfortable around others. I think it just took knowing my needs in relating to others.
I’ve found a lot of people here that I can be in-tune with. It’s a beautiful thing.
I worry about losing that and isolating myself in an individual bubble again.
American cities scare me for that reason. Bubble culture is real, though this is likely everywhere, and maybe I’ve just been lucky here.
I also wonder about tuning myself to other things:
- the sea
- the mountains
- others (in a more direct / less needy / more intentional / proactive way)
but still I might be making a mistake in leaving.
